Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner Post!

What a wonderful turn out for the Blog Hop and the "Collection of Favorites" Challenge!  The DT wants to THANK each of  YOU for making this a fabulous event!!  As many people noted in their comments or on challenge posts - it's hard to choose just one favorite and some new "favorites" were discovered through the work you posted for the challenge.  It's clear there's a whole lotta love for A Day for Daisies - and we are counting on that!

We hope you consider sharing your ADFD creations in the ADFD Facebook Community  - a no-drama group where folks share their cards and leave love for the work of others in the group.  Several of you have already started!  Thanks - it helps all of us keep our creative mojo going and inspires new ideas.  The ADFD Shop continues to be the place you can find all those fabulous A Day for Daisies images!  We guarantee you'll discover new favorites!!

The ADFD Blog will remain here as a resource for ADFD fans.   You may notice a reorganization of "label" section on the right sidebar.   The blog archive posts will be labeled with the name of the digi stamp used, so you can easily see how DT members have used the images since 2010!  This cataloging should be completed by the end of March.  We hope you find it useful.

Until we meet again, our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all of our A Day for Daisies fans.

And now, onto the prizes!!

Our Favorites - ADFD Blog Hop

Hi ADFD Friends,

We have a bittersweet announcement for you today.  We have come to the final post for the ADFD Blog.  However, ADFD IS NOT going away.  The A Day for Daisies Shop is staying open, so you can continue to color all of those ADFD images you have come to love AND the A Day for Daisies Facebook Community remains a place to share your love of all things ADFD. If you aren't a member, we hope you will consider joining us! At this point, the blog will remain a source for inspiration.  There are always mixed emotions when closing a chapter of something in our lives and so we want to focus on the blessings, joy and FUN we've had on the blog since it opened in 2010.  What better way to do that than a BLOG HOP with PRIZES, so let's get to the details!!

Today is the first day of our ADFD Blog Hop - a celebration of all of the beautiful images Tammy has created over the years. As a special surprise for Tammy, we have a combination of current and former DT members participating in the hop. Her inspiring art and generous heart have touched us all. We want to take a moment to show our gratitude and thank Tammy for the blessings and joys we have received as members of the ADFD DT.

Our theme is “A Collection of ADFD Favorites” - so each DT member’s blog you visit will share something she has created with one of her favorite ADFD images. The hop has hidden prizes - a commenter from each hidden prize stop will win a choice of one image from the ADFD Shop! You won’t know where the prizes are hidden, so be sure to leave a comment at each stop of the Hop! Our Blog Hop will run from 7:00 a.m. eastern standard time on Saturday, February 25, 2017 until 9:00 p.m. eastern standard time on Tuesday, February 27, 2017.

In addition to the Blog Hop, we invite you to share your Favorite ADFD image in the final ADFDBlog Challenge. The linky will stay open until Friday, March 3rd. All prize winners will be announced on the ADFD Blog on Saturday, March 4, 2017. We hope you will join our celebration of the thousands of images Tammy has created. Rules for the challenge are posted on the right sidebar of the ADFD Blog - the last spot of the stop!

We're starting with Danielle's adorable card on the blog because something isn't working with her link.  Skip over her name in the list and go to Daria after Cindy. (Hint:  Danielle isn't one of the hidden prize stops! )

Are you ready to HOP?!? (If something happens or a link is broken on your hop, just come back here and start off where you left off.  )

Mary Hen - Cathy

I'm here with a two cards for you using the Mary Hen image from the ADFD Shop.  Both of these cards were super-simple to make.  I used my computer to create the sentiments for both cards.  This is a one layer card with an embossed border and a ribbon.  Both cards have minimal coloring.  I flipped the image for the card below so the hens could talk with each other!

Hope you will pop back in next Saturday, March 25th for our Blog (Hop) Finale!
We'll have prizes for the hop and one last contest for you to share your favorite ADFD image.
Hugs,
Cathy

Aloha Florals - GDT Aurora Marco

How gorgeous is this version of Aloha Florals from our one of this month's guest designers, Aurora Marco?!?  Her overall coloring and that itsy-bitsy, teeny-weenie polka dotted bikini is positively divine!!  The sentiment is so true, too.  These voluptuous beauties all exude self-confidence and a love of themselves, which is so refreshing.

Doesn't Aurora's work make you want to rush over to the ADFD shop and color one up yourself?
There are six women in the Aloha Beauties collection.  Each one is uniquely beautiful!
They were originally introduced in on the AFD Blog in April 2013.

Daisy Bird Bath - Jen Leeflang

We're having such a hot and humid summer here in Durban, South Africa, that I thought I would share with you a cool card that included some water.

The image featured is called Daisy Bird Bath which I coloured using Copic markers and a white gel pen.

The simplicity of the daisies and butterflies were the inspiration to make this a CAS card, and for the sentiment I used.

If you'd like to see more details about my card, please visit my blog.

We''d love to see what projects you have created with the gorgeous A Day for Daisies images - please share them in the Facebook Community group.

Keep Creating!

Indigo Lady - Jen Leeflang

I chose to showcase this gorgeous image called Indigo Lady as it perfectly depicts the graciousness, serenity and beauty of a Japanese lady.

The image was coloured using Copic Markers in colours reminiscent of a peacock's plumage,  and a gold and white gel pen to add some detail.

Black and white background paper in a traditional Japanese paper was the perfect way to draw attention to the rich colours of the image, and the gold paper mats, trim, beads and gems echo the opulence of the image.

More pics are available on my blog .

Keep spreading happiness by creating beauty, one A Day for Daisies project at a time!
Lots of love
Jen
